"Sometimes it's right to do the wrong thing, and right now is one of those times."
Some of my favorite quotes:
"I got mad love for you, shorty. That's on the real. I like — I wanna like listen to Boyz II Men when I'm with you."--Luke Shapiro
"Certain people you just can't trust, you know Luke? Never trust anyone who doesn't smoke pot or listen to Dylan. Never trust anyone who doesn't like the beach. Never, EVER, EVER trust anyone who says they don't like dogs! You meet someone who doesn't like dogs you alert the authorities IMMEDIATELY and you sure as SHIT don't MARRY THEM" --Dr. Squires

One of the best independent movies I've seen in a long time, I definitely recommend checking it out (note for the lazy: it's on Instant Watch on Netflix!).

Lemmy: The Movie
1) I didn't know Lemmy: The Movie existed until a few days ago, which is crazy awesome and I need to Netflix that shit.
2) Do you realize how many women are rumored to have slept with this dude? Over a 1,000. Easily. Isn't it insane how an instrument will persuade chicks to fuck an ugly guy? That would make an interesting anthropologic study.
the holiday
"I've found almost everything ever written about love to be true. Shakespeare said "Journeys end in lovers meeting." What an extraordinary thought. Personally, I have not experienced anything remotely close to that, but I am more than willing to believe Shakespeare had. I suppose I think about love more than anyone really should. I am constantly amazed by its sheer power to alter and define our lives. It was Shakespeare who also said "love is blind". Now that is something I know to be true. For some quite inexplicably, love fades; for others love is simply lost. But then of course love can also be found, even if just for the night. And then, there's another kind of love: the cruelest kind. The one that almost kills its victims. Its called unrequited love. Of that I am an expert. Most love stories are about people who fall in love with each other. But what about the rest of us? What about our stories, those of us who fall in love alone? We are the victims of the one sided affair. We are the cursed of the loved ones. We are the unloved ones, the walking wounded. The handicapped without the advantage of a great parking space!"
I'm not going to lie, I unabashedly adore this movie and cannot watch it without feeling better by the end. Add a couple of white cheddar rice cakes, and you've got the perfect night in.

Giving Up On Dreams
I just realized how ridiculous it would be for me, as an Environmental Science major, to have dreads. I'm pretty Anglo. How ridic? I'm not trying to look like a Rasta McFarian poseur over here. sheesh.
On another note, how awesome is this album cover? Pretty awesome, that's how. Currently developing mental plans to emulate this coif and outfit (without looking frumpy - after all, I'm not freaking Diana Ross people), ASAP.
